Director of Financial Planning

The candidate will provide training and marketing content through presentations, published writing and webinars. Enhance the quality and consistency of planning advice and deliverables provided to clients, including involvement in and/or leading client meetings. Lead the firm’s financial planning committee by bringing new ideas of how to utilize the planning software and advanced planning techniques. Provide and update standard tools and best practices for teams to follow. Develop and implement a quality control review of existing and new plans for all teams. Collaborate with other department heads to provide a cohesive, branded firm-wide client experience. Decrease risk and liability for the firm by providing high-quality advice reducing the risk of missing advice provided on areas such as long-term care, property and casualty insurance exposures, tax planning opportunities, etc. that could cost the client money or jeopardize their goals. Develop and oversee associate planner(s) in providing planning support. Should have a Bachelor’s Degree. CFP designation is required; other designations are a plus (e.g. JD, CPA, CPWA). Should have 8 years of financial planning experience. Problem solver, influencer, positive attitude, assertive, responsive, energetic, relational, proactive, reliable, accurate, quick-learner, professional, observant, organized, proficient with technology, driven, strong attention to detail, ability to handle competing demands efficiently and calmly, focused on quality, strong communicator. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Strong background in all Advanced Planning Areas.
