Contracts Specialist
RESPONSIBILITIES: Drafts complex, legal compensation contracts originated from the Offer Detail Form (ODF) into a Contract Action Request (CAR) for Independent Contractor and Employed Advanced Practice Clinicians and/or Physicians. Manages provider contracting processes such as creating agreements, amendments, entering pay rates, pay dates, confirming legal language, adhering to contract terms and conditions, compensation models, etc. for specific facilities and all of their providers. Monitors, reviews and edits contract templates for content and accuracy. Research, clarifies and validates information submitted via ODF, email, or leadership directive. Manages the sending, signing and tracking of contract documents. Ensures contract flow progresses on a timely basis. Interfaces with the Director of Contracting, VP of Provider Services, Senior Vice President and Regional Medical Directors on contract requests. Interfaces and builds business partnerships with Recruiting with respect to new contracts, contracts returned for edits, terms, and unique contract language. Interfaces with the Provider Compensation Department and the Finance Department to confirm rates, rate revisions, and accuracy of payroll entry. Follows Contracting Processes and Procedures in regards to creation of contract documents, signatures, tracking and routing of contracts. Provides backup for Contracts Specialist team members when out of office. Maintains contract language directories in a word processing system. Answers contract questions posed by leadership & providers. Works closely with the legal team in regards to unique contract language revisions. Participates in an integrated work team as a responsible team member. Serves as an active team member of the West Group Contracting team. This includes attending all team meetings; participation in the development and implementation of region and team goals; problem-solving and decision-making; supporting corporate and center management decisions; being flexible and adaptable to change; establishing trust and respect for other team members; placing team needs first; and by completing all necessary training. Follows the norms and guidelines established by the team for communication, production, efficiency, conflict resolution, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal relations.
