If you are interested in gaining experience working in the mental health and substance abuse field, we have the perfect position for you! Our Acute Stabilization Unit in Providence is looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioral Health Worker.  The unit works from a trauma informed care practice model. Our program has qualified staff that are trained to realize the widespread impact of trauma, recognize signs/symptoms, respond with knowledge, and seek to resist re-traumatization. You would be responsible for ensuring patient safety, demonstrating professional behavior, and keeping established rules/protocols while maintaining patient dignity. As the Behavioral Health Worker you will also be responsible for assisting in treatment groups and activities on the unit. This position is Monday- Friday 8am-3pm. 

You would be exchanging pertinent client information to team members and working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Program Manager. Must have excellent written and communication skills and the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment. Being safety focused, detail oriented, and the ability to respond to emergencies or crises is an important aspect of this position.

Education/Licensing Requirements

: High School Diploma or GED required.  Associate degree in Human Services or attending school in a Human Services discipline. Certified Nursing Assistants with the right experience in Human Services and current CNA students or college students are encouraged to apply!
