Global Compliance Director
Responsibilities: Independently lead and manage cross-functional projects relating to compliance initiatives to educate on legal requirements, mitigate risk, assess compliance; to design and implement systems and controls; and, to implement continuous improvement. Foster a culture of compliance through periodic, in-person training and leadership communications on various topics and Tenneco Shared Values. Drive holistic, global compliance strategy using expertise in analytical approach to risk and data analysis from hotline and other sources. Manage the hotline system and lead the process to provide a global vehicle for anonymous reporting of concerns, to ensure that each hotline call is investigated appropriately in a timely manner by the appropriate partner (Law, Internal Audit, HR, etc.), to properly escalate issues, and to ensure remedial actions are adequately documented. This includes leading continuous improvement of processes to update the system and investigation procedures. Assist with investigations of sensitive or high risk matters that are not appropriate to be performed regionally. Build relationships with stakeholders that instill and deliver confidence. Assist in developing and updating the Company's Code of Ethics and global compliance policies, compliance procedures and controls, and related deployment plans. Conduct third party due diligence. Drive the development of global ethics and compliance training, including developing new courses with our external training vendor, managing the roll-out of new courses and overseeing the tracking of course completions. Review reports of alleged noncompliance with Company policies and coordinate investigations to ensure they are completed promptly and effectively and that investigations and remedial actions are properly documented and are sufficient. Develop and coordinate Corporate Compliance communications, including developing global communications and presentations to internal stakeholders such as Senior Management and the Board Audit Committee.
