Procurement Contracts Specialist

The candidate will draft, review, and negotiate master agreements, ordering documents, and statements of work (SoWs) for the Procurement team across a range of categories of offerings and industries, including software licenses and support agreements, professional services, consulting, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and cloud-based services marketing and sponsorship agreements. Assist with the standardization and implementation of global procurement processes, including templates and procedural improvements for risk assessment and contract reviews. Support and coach our global Procurement team to guide the adoption of best practices and standard methods. Work with internal customers to resolve contractual issues. Serve as a point of contact for contract-related questions. Provide support and assistance to Red Hat’s commercial attorneys worldwide. Bachelor's degree or higher is required. Should demonstrated interest in software, information technology (IT), intellectual property (IP), and related legal issues. Should have 1+ year(s) of professional experience in contract negotiations in the technology or software industry; solid knowledge of commercial contracting law and related issues like IP and licensing. Excellent communication skills demonstrated through your work experience, including the ability to explain complicated concepts in simple, audience-appropriate terms are needed. Analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills demonstrated through your work experience is needed. Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to manage simultaneous projects under deadline pressure is needed. Should have the ability to work on with minimal supervision while maintaining a firm focus on problem-solving. Experience with procurement contracts is a plus. Paralegal experience is a plus.
