As our first HR Director focused on M&A, you’ll play an exciting part in our global expansion and growth. We’ve got a few M&As under our belt and we’re looking for someone who has been there and done that before, bringing their expertise to all facets of M&A on the Talent front to Twilio. You will ensure the process from strategy and execution through to integration, is done seamlessly to make it an exceptional experience for all joining the Twilio team. This leadership role will also be working with client groups throughout the organization, depending on volume and requirements. We’re looking for an exceptional person to take on this role as part of an exceptional team.

Who?

Twilio is looking for a leader with deep and broad expert level technical knowledge and expertise in M&A. We seek someone with:

8 years of experience in a high-growth environment, preferably in SaaS or related software industry.  Deep experience with all facets of M&A.

Working knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, talent development, federal, state, and local employment laws.

Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; Ability to influence in a demanding and high-performing work environment. 

Ability to develop strong trusting relationships at all levels within the organization to gain support and achieve results. 

Ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex global business issues.

As our first M&A leader on the HR team, you will live the Twilio Magic values:

DRAW THE OWL:  Establish M&A strategy, tools, process, to drive and coordinate the pre-transaction considerations, due diligence, integration planning and execution among the People team; act as the SPOC within the People team for all M&As. 

EMPOWER OTHERS:  Collaborate with M&A peers to consistently improve our processes.

Understand the organization’s current state, future state, gaps and priorities to support exceeding business goals. 

BE BOLD & BE AN OWNER:  Serve as people partner to designated client groups, providing expertise and execution on programs in the following areas: employee relations, organizational design, performance acceleration, coaching, compensation and rewards, talent development and recognition programs. Identify and advise on opportunities, risks, and trends related to HR M&A while developing action plans to address. 

NO SHENANIGANS:  Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution in a high growth environment.
