Profile

We currently looking for a SQL Server Database Administrator with 6 years of SQL Server experience and who will work along with other team members.
The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for the following:
Install, configure, and patch Microsoft SQL Server
Manage backup and recovery operations
Own, track, and resolve database related incidents
Review and respond to service related reports (e.g. database backups, maintenance, monitoring) on a daily basis
Design and implement database security
Database server capacity planning
Provide database design, development and project support to business technology teams within the organization
Respond to database related alerts and escalations
Work with other technology and business teams to devise strategic solutions to business problems
Database management reporting and documentation
Qualifications:
Knowledge of other MS SQL Server services: SSRS (Reporting Services), SSAS (Analysis Services), SSIS (Integration Services)
Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery options for MSSQL Server
Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics
Willingness to provide after-hours support
Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision
Possess strong communication and documentation skills and have the ability to interact professionally with all levels of internal and external employees in both written and verbal communications
Strong commitment to producing quality work and attention to detail to ensure work is delivered completely, accurately, and on time.
Qualified candidates will be team players, self-motivated, innovative, organized, and solution minded
Excellent time management skills and ability to flourish in a challenging, fast-paced professional environment is essential
Education and/or Experience:
Experience with MS SQL Server database engine
Experience in performance tuning and optimization using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Experience in implementing operational automation using scripts
Experience working with Windows server, virtualization technologies, and optimal disk configurations
Certification is a plus: MCITP, MCP, MCDBA
