Title IX and Civil Rights Investigator

The candidate will receive copies of complaints of sexual misconduct, sexual harassment, stalking, intimate partner violence, retaliation, and other forms of sex- or gender-based discrimination and harassment. Investigate allegations related to sex- or gender-based misconduct related to students, faculty, and staff from initial report to findings. This includes creating an investigative plan, conducting and reporting on witness interviews, preparing and presenting evidence and appropriate supporting documents, and communicating with the parties while protecting the neutrality, integrity, and privacy of the investigation. Identify College policies and/or Student Conduct Code provisions relevant to a complaint. Provide a detailed, unbiased report to the Title IX Coordinator of all information collected during the investigation. Partner with Title IX Coordinator, the Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, Security and Protective Services, the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities, the Provost's Office, and the Office of Human Resources to ensure equity in campus policies, processes, and investigations in compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Support campus investigations unrelated to Title IX, including other equity complaints. Participate in providing education, training, and outreach relating to Title IX for faculty, staff, and students. Identify best practices in Title IX investigations and integrate these into College procedures. Serve as an active participant on the Sexual Assault Response Team and the College's Working Group for Sexual Violence Prevention and Response.
