Immigration Paralegal
The candidate will oversight of full US visa sponsorship process and maintenance for existing employees and new candidates. Oversee and initiate US Permanent Residency and non-Permanent Residency (including H-2B lottery) processes in partnership with outside counsel. Prepare and communicate required documents regarding international transfers and assignments. Manage external immigration service partners, including recruiters and outside legal counsel, to ensure seamless employee recruitment and relocation. Create reports and documentation inclusive of estimated expenses and timelines. Recommend appropriate policies and/or benefits specific to each case scenario. Confirm feasibility of immigration cases for potential transfers/job opportunities. Assist in the creation and maintenance of company immigration policies and procedures. Manage immigration tax processes with payroll to include reconciliations, tax filings and settlements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Troon’s global stakeholders through support and education of immigration policies. Counsel HR team and field employees on current and evolving immigration compliance requirements. Develop communication strategies to educate employees and stakeholders to ensure compliance. Act as the point of contact for all employee inquiries related to immigration and international transfers. Partner with Talent Acquisition and HRBPs during the hiring process. Maintain all immigration documentation and compliance paperwork.
