Profile

Employee is responsible for administering, maintaining, and overseeing all aspects of the companies 19A and Dot policies and procedures at LGA and JFK. 

Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions:

 (Other duties may be assigned.)

At the time of application, must have a current NYS DMV 19-A Certified Examiner License.

Possess a valid CDL Class B with endorsements for Passenger and Air Brakes.

Experience in preparing and reviewing folders of drivers prior to employment

Road test  (DS-875)/biennial written .

Within 30 days as required & annual defensive driving reviews DS-873.

Keep track of drivers medical Examinations DS-874 and required follow-up.

Provide a list of yearly abstracts at least 30 days before they are due.

Complete annual reviews of abstracts DS-872.

Folders will be monitored regularly & kept up to date.  

Files will always be kept in compliance by NYSDOT standards and ready for inspection or audit by an NYSDOT Compliance Investigator. 

Understand access to DMV VPass and LENS to monitor notifications.

Able to travel to NYC metropolitan area airports JFK and LGA.  

Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.

The work environment has a moderate noise level.

The work environment is both inside and outside of the airport terminal.  As such, the individual will be exposed to all weather conditions.

Language Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and handbooks.   

Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers and the general public. Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills

Math Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

Computer Skills:

Employee must have experience working with Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.  

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

College degree or equivalent work experience preferred.  

Experience:

Previous safety management experience preferred.

Overall:

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Must submit to and pass a drug screen.

Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal, including successful completion of a background check and ten-year work history.
