Tax Manager

The candidate will provide tax advisory support on content production structuring and talent engagement to all the firm's Content Production teams. Support the the firm legal entity rationalization process and assist with Federal Income Tax planning. Advise on Film and Television Production tax matters, including production structuring, talent engagement and tax incentives. Advise on tax withholding and information reporting requirements for both the engagement of talent for current and future film and television productions as well as for participation and residual reporting. In coordination with legal and tax compliance teams, ensure timely compliance (i.e., state registrations and transaction taxes). Review legal entity structures and identify opportunities for efficiencies via legal entity rationalization. Conduct and/or coordinate with advisors for tax due diligence and ensure database of information is maintained. Research tax technical issues and prepare technical documentation. Prepare and execute steps plans. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. CPA, law degree, and/or Master’s degree in taxation is preferred. Should have 5-7 years of relevant work experience in similar capacity. Experience in entertainment taxation is a plus, including a working knowledge of film and television production.
