Job Purpose/Summary:
The Sr. eCommerce Analyst will support the Grocery Capabilities Team in analyzing data and diagnosing the business implications. This role will have a major part in leading the ongoing development of the new eCommerce Dashboard – an organization wide tool used to assess the eCommerce business.
The Sr. eCommerce Analyst will lead the data and analytics work for the Grocery Capabilities Team as a means to understand what is occurring from a sales and digital shelf perspective and offer insights as to what is causing the change in data. This role will report to the Sr. eCommerce Customer Development manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Brick & Click Analytics Management
•Support the Brick & Click Manager and Account Teams with eCommerce data and insights for the annual business planning process
•Identify and investigate changes in the eCommerce business as a means to diagnose the root cause; then develop possible solutions
•Develop Brick & Click benchmarks that can be used in addition to the dashboard for everyday use to measure Tyson’s performance vs. rest of market
•Consults with other Analysts on Account Teams to stay up to date on retailer portal requirements and changes
•Consult with CSL and Shopper Marketing to measure and analyze specific eCommerce initiatives
•Completes additional monthly and quarterly reports as needed
eCommerce Dashboard Management
•Act as the lead for the eCommerce Dashboard – responsible for the accurate publishing of eCommerce metrics on a monthly basis
•Lead further developments of the Dashboard with the Category Management and Shopper Insights teams
•Work with the 3rd party data providers to ensure that the data is accurate as well as identifying other uses of the information that would support the eCommerce business
•Lead quarterly IT Dashboard meetings to identify any issues with the dashboard and to identify and assess further development
•Work with the Sr. eCommerce Customer Development Manager and eCommerce Director to update dashboard with additional priority retailers and new metrics that the business requires
Requirements:
Education/Certifications: Bachelors required, MBA preferred, in data science or related field
Experience: •Minimum of 3 years total CPG industry experience (eCommerce or traditional)
•1 year of eCommerce experience strongly preferred
•5 years of data science or data management experience
•Must have day to day experience with using Excel, Power BI, and Tableau
•Preferred experience with Nielsen, IRI, and Profitero
•Food & Beverage experience strongly preferred
•MUST be a self-starter and intellectually curious. Comfortable with some ambiguity - as this is a new role.
