State and Local Tax Senior - Property Tax

The candidate will assist with the management of clients and serving their needs. Will assist with various tax consulting projects involving research and writing related to tax planning, taxability, assessment appeals, audit representation and resolution, tax exemptions and abatements, credits and incentives, etc. Provide preparation, analysis and technical support of indirect tax returns and filings, not limited to annual property tax renditions (returns) and oil and gas severance tax returns, with attention to state and local tax issues such as asset classifications, changes in statutory procedures and deadlines, potential assessment appeal opportunities, etc. Review and analysis of the client’s state and local property tax and severance tax assessments for identification of potential assessment appeal opportunities. Analyze taxpayer data and be able to identify opportunities for prospects and clients. Keep up to date on state and local tax law changes. Participate in business development activities as needed. Develop internal relationships within the firm and help grow external branding.
