General Job Description:

You're organized and professional with exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for education. In this role you will work under general supervision to coordinate and schedule our Ability to Benefit (ATB) students for testing, tutoring, and advising. You will build trusting relationships with a diverse student population, monitor retention, maintain and update information, and communicate with all required departments regarding student progress. Most importantly, you will make a difference in the lives of our students.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative coordination and scheduling for ATB testing, tutoring, and advising

• Ensure all GED  Program tutoring sessions are scheduled, completed, and documented in accordance with institutional accreditation and company guidelines

• Ensure advising happens and that tracking is up-to-date and maintained throughout the duration of the GED Program, shared with Program Directors, Lead Instructors, Re-entry Coordinators, and On-line Coordinators

• Ensure that all advising, student progress, and ATB disclosure forms are completed, tracked, and documented in accordance with GED Program policy

• Maintain individual GED Program file for each student

• Update all required student records systems

• Ensure all ATB students are registered for GED Program

• Monitor first term retention for GED Program students

• Maintain and update information for local GED test sites and provide material to all ATB students while encouraging them to complete program

• Communicate with all required departments (Admissions, Academics, Records, etc.) to inform and update employees regarding GED Program guidelines and changes

• Build trusting relationships with a diverse student population by delivering personalized, constructive, engaging, motivating, and informative sessions on a weekly basis

• Contact and schedule weekly advising sessions will all assigned students; persistently and proactively attract students to attend advising sessions

• Improve your skills and manage your performance by pinpointing key areas for growth and actively participating in your own professional development

• Achieve performance results consistent with campus benchmarks and service delivery expectations

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required with evidence of strong academic performance

• People and project management experience preferred

• Must be an effective, efficient, empathetic, energized, and engaging communicator

• Must be comfortable delivering and receiving constructive/critical feedback

• Track record of achievement, commitment, and perseverance

• Strong organization, prioritization, time management, and follow-through

• Sharp critical thinking skills with sound judgment
