A law firm seeks a talented mid-level Copyright Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in copyright litigation. They will also have a strong understanding of the intersection of copyright law and technology. Duties:

• Lead and manage complex copyright litigation matters, with a focus on cases involving technology and digital platforms.
• Draft, review, and file key legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis on technology-related copyright issues.
• Advise clients on various copyright matters and offer guidance on complex legal issues.
• Work closely with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure timely resolution of cases.
• Maintain clear communication with clients, offering legal insights and updates on case progress.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in intellectual property law, specifically in copyright litigation.
• Strong knowledge of technology and its relationship to copyright law.
• A technical background (e.g., in computer science or engineering) is preferred but not required.
• Proven ability to handle complex litigation and provide clear legal counsel to clients.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong oral communication skills and courtroom experience.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases with attention to detail.
• Admission to the state bar where the attorney is practicing (California preferred).

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar (or eligibility to practice in California).
• Additional bar memberships in other jurisdictions are a plus.
