Risk & Controls – Issue Management Lead and Quality Coordinator’s – Senior Vice President
The candidate will drive proactive and timely identification, management, and oversight of issues across NAM Consumer Wealth in line with firm requirements. This will include identifying thematic root causes underlying issues and facilitating the effective remediation of control gaps. Manage a team of issue managers, stepping in to resolve roadblocks and facilitate solutioning with senior stakeholders. Design and implement issue management reporting for NAM Consumer Wealth senior leadership to identify trends, emerging risks, and actionable items in the risk and controls environment. Development and production of key risk indicators and metrics to help NAM Consumer Wealth operate within its defined risk appetite. Collaborate with Personal Banking Wealth Management (PBWM) colleagues to identify and adopt best practices for issue management. Liaise within the organization to ensure connectivity with enterprise-wide issue management efforts to enhance the firm's safety and soundness. Proactive engagement with control functions to ensure understanding of the CGW governance program. Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner. Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree (e.g., JD, MBA) and certifications (CFA, FRM) is preferred. Should have 10+ years of experience, of which 5+ years of Financial Services and analytical / control work experience. Experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; extensive experience in area of focus is required. Previous experience managing a diverse staff is required.
