Visiting Instructor of Legal Research and Writing

The candidate will ordinarily teach one section each semester of Legal Research and Writing and one section each semester of Legal Analysis for the Bar Exam. In discretion, the Dean may substitute one section of either course for the other (i.e., the Instructor may be assigned two sections of LRW or two sections of the LAB class in a given semester). Teach one or two sections of Legal Research and Writing (LRW) per semester, which includes providing classroom instruction, timely written feedback on assignments, and individual academic counseling on progress towards course learning objectives. In lieu of one or more of the sections of LRW, teach one or two sections of either Applied Legal Analysis or Legal Analysis for the Bar per semester, which includes providing classroom instruction, timely written feedback on student assignments, and individual academic counseling on Bar exam readiness. Refine and/or develop and implement programming to assist students in preparing for academic success while in law school and passing the state bar exam after graduation. Work closely with students in both the legal research and writing, academic success, and bar preparation programs, while maintaining professionalism and appropriate demeanor that encourages learning.
