Description

The Market Development Professional 2 provides support to assigned health plan relative to Medicare/Medicaid product implementation, operations, and contract compliance. The Market Development Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.

Job Description

The Market Project and Development Professional 2 serves as a project manager and is responsible for overseeing the successful completion of projects and deliverables, both internal and for market regulators. Role includes setting deadlines, interdepartmental communications, ensuring projects stay on track, and adjusting if necessary to meet new requirements. Understands department, organizational strategy, and operating objectives, including their linkages to related areas. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations, and requires minimal direction and receives guidance where needed.

Responsibilities May Include:


Responsibility for coordinating with other departmental teams to drive internal projects and/or external facing deliverables to closure.
Intake of deliverable requests from the State of IL, CMS, and the Medicaid Association (IAMHP) which vary in the types of topics, scale/size of the request, requirements involved, etc.
Identify and coordinate the requisite teams to do the work on specific projects and track the deliverable to completion
Work with CMU (Contract Management Unit) and the departments to ensure alignment to new HFS MCO policies.
Working with the Web team to update the Humana MMAI websites
Working with IT, Network, and Encounters to ensure various files and documents get uploaded to SQL database for use by other staff and areas
Coordination with the Member Communications team and other teams as necessary
Must possess good time management skills and be able to perform independently with little guidance
Data analysis/formatting/manipulation in Excel
Ability to combine multiple departmental/team responses into a singular, coherent message/response
Adeptness at juggling & prioritizing multiple projects/tasks
Ability to independently problem solve under minimal guidance


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
3 - 5 prior experience in a fast paced business setting
Understanding of Data and Reporting tools / formatting and formulas
Project Management/Process Management experience
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Strategic thinker with ability to work independently with strong time management skills
Strong relationship building skills / strong collaboration skills
Strong analytical skills
Process-focused, with ability to leverage and enhance existing processes
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10x1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required.


Preferred Qualifications


Knowledge of Humana's internal policies, procedures and systems
Master's Degree in Business, Public Health or related field
Medicare, Medicaid, Healthcare knowledge
SQL


Additional Information

Travel into the office may be necessary for periodic team meetings and based on business needs.
