Intellectual Property Attorney
The candidate will counsel business clients on various IP matters involving business patents, trademarks, and licensing. Oversee the client’s trademark and patent portfolio. Draft, negotiate, interpret and advise on IP-related agreements, such as non-disclosure agreements and technology license agreements, and IP provisions in commercial agreements. Assist with management of intellectual property portfolio. Assist in managing invention disclosures, including identifying and evaluating inventions to determine patentability, and coordinate with outside counsel in drafting, filing and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO. Review documents and advise business clients on compliance with brand standards and trademark policies. Handle all aspects of the trademark process, from conducting comprehensive searches, drafting opinion letters with recommendations, preparing, filing overseeing applications and communicating timely and effectively with clients. Support the company’s commitment to protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data. A Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school. Possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organizational, research, writing, communication and analytical skills. Should have 5+ years of experience, either in a law firm or in-house involving business patents, trademarks and licensing. Active Arizona Bar membership. Registered Patent Agent.
