Stockbridge office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a family law attorney with 1-2 years of experience at a legal firm working on family law and real estate issues (determining marital property). The candidate will assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including Divorce, Legitimation, child custody, and child support issues. Will have the opportunity to learn from senior associates and litigation associates on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. Also, be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action. Represent clients in court proceedings as needed. Communicate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move through the civil litigation process. Keep client files properly organized and up to date. Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases. Must be a Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association). Previous criminal justice or other legal background preferred.
