Facilities Designer I
Position Purpose: Assist with development and execution of space planning and interior design for corporate and health plan and Specialty company projects, including new construction, renovation and tenant improvements.
Create drawings, templates and blocks in AutoCAD as requested.
Responsible for documentation and maintenance of finish, furniture & equipment standards.
Perform duties as required to complete Service Now ticket requests.
Maintain in-house sample library of finishes, upholstery and furniture; contact vendors as necessary to guarantee availability of samples.
Maintain finish, furnishing and equipment standards, and update as needed.
Communicate furniture & finish standards to internal customers. Assist with development of Facilities CNET site for communication of standards.
Perform space planning for small projects and reconfigurations as needed for newly leased space and existing locations.
Assist senior team members with creations of Interiors Package drawings and schedules for distribution to internal Construction Project Managers, including consolidation of approved layouts, finishes, furniture, millwork elevations, construction, security and audio/visual details.
Education/Experience: Associate s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field. Bachelor s degree preferred. 0-2 years of related design experience. AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Proficiency required. Archibus software experience preferred.
