Labor and Employment Associate Attorney

A law firm in Nashville, TN, is seeking a highly experienced Labor and Employment Associate Attorney with 5 or more years of litigation experience, preferably in the areas of employment, commercial, or business litigation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in non-compete and trade secret litigation, along with extensive experience in deposition, discovery, and motion practice. Trial experience is preferred, and the successful candidate will be academically distinguished, capable of handling matters as first chair, and possess excellent writing and analytical skills. This role will involve actively participating in a diverse federal and state court Labor and Employment practice.

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in labor and employment matters.
• Handle litigation cases in federal and state courts related to labor and employment issues.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to develop case strategies.
• Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
• Represent clients in depositions, hearings, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with clients and legal teams to resolve complex legal issues.
• Advise clients on labor and employment law compliance and best practices.

Requirements:

• 5 or more years of litigation experience, preferably in employment, commercial, or business litigation.
• Extensive experience in non-compete and trade secret litigation.
• Strong deposition, discovery, and motion practice skills.
• Trial experience in labor and employment cases is preferred.
• Exceptional academic credentials.
• Ability to manage cases as the first chair.
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active Tennessee Bar license.
