The Logistics Specialist will be involved in a developing and growing the CEOR product line within Chevron Oronite.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Functions as a team member on a project team(s) responsible for generating and evaluating alternatives for material movements as well as transportation equipment selection and management within a global network of supply, toll manufacturing, and terminal locations.
Gathers, analyzes, and organizes data necessary to track current performance of logistics service providers and for evaluation of new transportation lane alternatives for new customers and/or supply alternatives based on economics, reliability, and operational factors for both short and long-term opportunities
Selects and/or specifies equipment based on source and destination handling requirements, product compatibility, and typical order quantitates
Develops, aligns and facilities SAP setup for supply chain execution processes for material receipt, manufacturing, and distribution to align the CEOR supply chain with established Oronite NAMR Supply Chain processes
Manages a fleet of specialized, dedicated equipment required to transport and store materials on-site for oil and gas production wells. Management of the fleet includes tracking, maintenance and serviceability, modification to meet customer requirements, coordination of delivery and return, and cleaning (if required).
Establishes processes and procedures for CEOR logistics service provider invoicing in accordance with established Oronite NAMR Supply Chain and Finance processes and procedures
Coordinates the logistics from source to destination utilizing a network of internal and external stakeholders and support groups including Customer Service, Tolling Specialist, suppliers, 3PL’s, freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation companies, etc. This requires
Focal point for all communications regarding issues with assigned modes of transportation ◦Communicates with Customer Service, Tolling Specialist, and/or Site Representative(s) to meet shipping requirements including rush and over forecast orders, resolution of transportation issues, and leads root cause analysis and corrective action development and implementation to prevent future occurrence
Generates load schedules and logistical instructions for all modes of transportation, both domestic and international
Responsible for managing business relationships focusing on day-to-day operations but also highly involved in tracking and reporting key performance indicators with an end goal of optimizing processes for all parties
Responsible for processing, providing, and filing documentation for all modes of transportation in accordance with data retention requirements
Provides “on call” support as needed for twenty-four-hour operations
Bachelors Degree or 5 years of directly related logistics experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Strong demonstrated competencies in planning and execution.
Strong communication with multiple internal and external stakeholders to insure customer commitments are met in a cost-effective manner.
Must be self-motivated with the desire and ability to shape the position and optimize Supply Chain to meet changing requirements.
2 years of Refining or Petro-chemical experience.
Knowledge and application processes and tools such as Project Management, Lean or Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions (i.e. 5-Why, Why Tree, etc.).
Knowledge and proficiency with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
Experience with budget development and cost tracking/control.
Relocation may be considered.
