State and Local Tax (SALT) Senior
Duties: Review tax compliance and provide consulting services for state and local taxes (SALT), including income, franchise, sales and use, gross receipts, and, to a much lesser extent, payroll , and personal property taxes and unclaimed property. Consulting projects include, but are not limited to, nexus evaluations, due diligence, legal entity structuring, refund reviews, sales taxability determinations and audit defense. Serve as a team member on a number of client service engagements including potential involvement with review and completion of federal income tax returns. Collaborate with engagement team members and client staff to effectively meet and exceed client expectations. Develop client relationships, assist in preparing presentations and participate in selling opportunities with the guidance from experienced team members. Training and developing less experienced staff. Assist with engagement management and supervising tax staff and interns on assigned engagements.
