Public Interest Law Fellow
The candidate should be a recent law graduate or attorney with 1-3 years of experience and interested in a one-year fellowship in public interest law. Fellow will learn what it takes to defend whistleblowers against powerful opponents and represent qui tam relators in complex anti-fraud litigation. Will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of case and law firm management. This includes having significant responsibility over ongoing cases, assisting in research and writing assignments, trial preparation, pre-trial discovery and other work normally assigned to associate attorneys and/or paralegals. Assist with key public policy assignments that are part of the firm's pro bono programs, designed to expand the scope of whistleblower protections. Fellows are also asked to assist with the firm's online programming, including assisting in writing content for websites and blogs operated by the firm. Protect lawful disclosures of waste, fraud and abuse and improve whistleblower protections with the following skills: strong legal analysis and research, attention to detail, and superior written and oral communication.
