A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join its expanding team in Houston, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 6 years of legal experience, preferably with a background in plaintiffs’ side law. This role offers the opportunity to manage cases independently from inception to resolution while collaborating with other attorneys and partners on complex legal matters. Duties:

• Independently manage a caseload of personal injury cases, handling all phases from initial consultation to trial or settlement.
• Regularly represent clients in court appearances and depositions, providing top-tier advocacy and legal counsel.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing clear and timely updates on case developments.
• Collaborate closely with other attorneys and legal staff on a variety of legal matters, ensuring comprehensive case management.
• Lead negotiations and settlements, working towards the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Maintain strict confidentiality in all client and case-related discussions.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 to 6 years of legal experience, with a focus on personal injury law, ideally in a plaintiffs’ side environment.
• Proven ability to independently manage a caseload from start to finish.
• Strong academic background with excellent litigation skills.
• Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced work environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong client-focused approach.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of Texas.

Skills:

• Strong litigation and trial skills, with experience handling personal injury cases.
• Ability to conduct depositions and manage court appearances independently.
• Excellent negotiation skills for settlement discussions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
