Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Midlevel Tax Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have three to four years of experience in transactional tax matters, with a preference for those experienced in private equity transactions. An LL.M. in Taxation is strongly preferred.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate tax provisions in various agreements, including merger and stock purchase agreements.
• Draft and review partnership, joint venture, and limited liability company agreements.
• Handle tax aspects of equity and debt financing transactions.

Requirements

• Three to four years of experience in transactional tax matters.
• Experience with private equity transactions preferred.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred.

Certifications

• Bar admission in New York.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
