Purpose:

Serve as a key focal point for petroleum contract administration for the geographic area ensuring Shell's rights are protected, obligations are met, and information in Land Administration systems/records is accurate and appropriately communicated within the organization (as applicable). Provide research, analysis, interpretation, set up/update, support, maintenance, and payment terms and obligations throughout the full Exploration and Production (E&P) lifecycle.

Accountabilities:

Independently analyze and interpret applicable Petroleum Contracts to accurately calculate ownership and provide timely set-ups, payments, and obligations within the applicable systems. Independently maintain land records to ensure payments made to private, corporate, and government owners are in compliance with all applicable laws, statutes, regulations, and Petroleum Contracts. At any one time, support a number of Petroleum Contracts opportunities across the full E&P lifecycle with knowledge of ownership laws, statutes, regulations and applicable systems. Independently interface with the Technical Assets/Organization and other functional departments regarding Petroleum Contracts services. Externally interface with land owners and/or government(s) regarding Petroleum Contracts issues/matters. Provide informational data reporting services within the department, to Technical staff/teams, and other department/parts of the organization. Generate standard monthly/periodic reports on payment and/or acreage information requested by technical teams and/or land operations to be used for analysis and decision making. Assist in producing ad-hoc reports. Support due diligence activities related to oil & gas property acquisition, divestiture, and merger. Actively share knowledge in Petroleum Contracts matters locally and regionally. Contribute to the research and interpretation of information/data as assigned.

Requirements:

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree with major in Law, Petroleum Management, Business Administration or other business-related degrees.

4 years professional experience in Land Administration. Advanced knowledge of Exploration and Production Federal/State oil/gas laws, statutes, and regulations.

Experience with E&P property sales and acquisitions, due diligence, and transition planning.

Familiarity with land and contracts and revenue processing

Prior Production Revenue Accounting (PRA) experience preferred

Working knowledge of E&P Operations, Midstream, Marketing, Joint Ventures, Accounting, Treasury, and Systems.

Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to cultivate internal and external professional relationships.

Proven ability to lead a project team to obtain expected business results within competing priorities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment.

Ability to self-start and direct own efforts based on high-level business objectives and guidance as necessary.
