Duties: Assist in-house counsel in all aspects of litigation management from inception to conclusion, including matter intake, internal and external communication, pleading review, discovery management, settlement and other case-closing obligations. Maintain online matter management system, including document filing, inputting new and updating existing matters, creating and running functional reports for stakeholders. Conduct pre-claim investigations and initial case assessments, collect and review records, and create tools to assist with case analyses. Perform research pertaining to a range of legal and factual issues impacting dealerships and retail operations. Respond to requests by opposing counsel and outside counsel. Receive, analyze, and process requests for business records from in-house counsel, manufacturers, and other third parties.
