Small but growing personal injury defense firm in Pasadena Playhouse District seeks associate with 0-3 years experience. Insurance defense experience preferred, municipal entity defense or City-atty experience a plus but obviously willing to train the right candidate who possesses the right attitude. Great opportunity for someone wanting to learn civil litigation from start to finish. Will work directly with experienced partner with 30 years of trial experience. Will assume significant case-handling responsibilities from the outset, i.e. taking depositions, propounding and responding to discovery, research and preparing pleadings including answers, demurrers, motions to compel, MSJ, etc. Familiarity with Clio/FasterLaw is a plus. Recent writing sample required, preferably an MSJ or similar.
