Job Summary:

Relational Estate & Elder Law, PLC is searching for a competent, compassionate, and self-motivated estate and elder law attorney in an associate or of-counsel role.  This full-time position will have the responsibility to advise and guide clients as they make end-of-life decisions and navigate end-of-life scenarios, using best legal practices along with our Relational principles and model.  This position will play a key part in supporting our mission of helping our clients achieve peace of mind and confidence about the future.  If you are a licensed attorney in the state of Virginia with strong communication, research, and writing skills, you can apply by emailing your resume, cover letter, and writing sample to Lauren Paige Sorsen at LaurenPaige@relational.law.

Job Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as wills, trusts, advance medical directives, powers of attorney, deeds, corporate documents, and agreements
• Advise clients on estate planning, elder law, and estate administration issues, including related real estate, charitable giving, tax, and business issues
• Represent clients in estate, conservator, guardian, and trust administration matters, including preparing the necessary petitions, orders, reports, notices, receipts, inventories, and/or accountings

Education and Experience:

This position requires a Juris Doctorate as well as a license to practice law in the state of Virginia. Experience in estate planning, estate administration and/or elder law is preferred, but not required. Additional licenses in other surrounding states are welcome.
