Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry-level associate attorney in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will have 6 months to 3 years of litigation experience and a passion for consumer protection. This role involves working closely with partners and senior attorneys on a hybrid schedule, focusing on litigation against car manufacturers and dealers.

Duties

• Draft and review written discovery and responses.
• Participate in e-discovery document reviews.
• Draft motions and responses to pleading challenges.
• Prepare for and participate in oral arguments.
• Attend and defend client depositions.
• Conduct vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.
• Report and bill hours worked timely.
• Assist with dispositive motions and trial preparation.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Member in good standing of the California Bar.
• At least 6 months of experience as a California licensed attorney.
• Interest in consumer protection and representation.
• Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred, but not required.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member in good standing of the California Bar.

Skills

• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
