This position manages the civil sheet piling sales for the south which includes TX, OK, KS, AR, NE, IA, MN, and WI. The preferred location is to be based in Texas, most likely the Houston market, and this position will report to the Civil Sales Director in Atlanta, GA. The Civil Sales Division specializes in sheet pile solutions for the following specific applications: cut-off walls, flood walls, retaining walls and water control structures. Our customer base includes entities in the private and public sectors such as national and regional engineering firms, marine and general contractors, specialty contractors, and government agencies from the local to the federal level.

 

Essential Functions

  • Generates and develops new business through customer interaction to meet specified sales goals.
  • Maintains and nurtures existing client relationships.
  • Responds to all inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepares and presents technical sales presentations and proposals to large engineering and contracting firms.
  • Plans and manages sales territory with regular reporting to Director of Civil Sales
  • Understands and communicates information regarding company products, services, and policies and procedures to new and existing customers
  • Continually gathers information on local competition and prevalent industry and business climate within the region; communicates information to management and others as needed.
  • Negotiates contracts and sales orders.
  • Project management, scheduling

*Travel

  • 50% - 75% Travel is required for this position
  • Qualifications Required:
  • 4 year degree (prefer background in Environmental Sciences, Civil Engineering, or Business Administration)
  • 5 years of outside sales experience (prefer experience working with contractors,

engineers and architects) with a history of growing sales, exceeding goals and penetrating markets.

  • Civil Engineering/Civil Construction background preferred.
  • Experience using SalesForce for opportunity tracking, quoting, sales forecasting, and contact management is a requirement.
  • Excellent MS Office skills required to include intermediate skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must have experience leading technical product presentations to Engineering Firms, Municipalities, Large Contractors, etc.
  • Experience selling indirectly, though channel/distribution network
  • Must know how to write/review specifications and plans.
  • The ability to utilize sales techniques and develop strong customer relationships
  • Thorough understanding of the sales cycle and the ability to guide, develop and lead
  • Experience in growing sales and market share, channel development and developing employee talent
