Manager or Senior Manager - Environmental, Social, and Governance ("ESG") Tax Credits and Incentives
Duties: Work with multi-disciplinary teams across the tax, advisory, and audit functions to perform ESG tax credit and incentive consulting services, including identifying relevant ESG tax credit and incentive opportunities, performing tax technical and industry research, leading client interviews and discussions, developing business and industry expertise, and responding to proposals. Consult on federal tax credits, such as Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 45 Production Tax Credit, Section 48 Investment Tax Credit, Section 45Q Credit for Carbon Oxide Sequestration, Section 48C Credit for Manufacturing Energy Property, and Section 45X Manufacturing Credit for Solar and Wind Components, Batteries, and Critical Minerals, among others. Communicate directly with client personnel, including operations, sustainability, finance, accounting, and engineering. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analyses, data gathering and coordination of KPMG and client resources. Develop thought leadership materials and facilitate educational sessions around ESG tax credits and incentives. Establish a network of internal and external relationships with colleagues, clients, and industry professionals.
