Land Use Associate/Senior Counsel

Job Overview: The law firm is seeking a Land Use Associate/Senior Counsel with at least 3 years of experience in the field of land use. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation in land use matters while working collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation in matters related to land use, zoning, and real estate development.
• Prepare and review legal documents, including contracts, permits, and land use applications.
• Research and analyze relevant laws, regulations, and case law to support clients' land use needs.
• Advocate for clients in negotiations, hearings, and other legal proceedings related to land use.
• Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and internal teams to develop strategies for land use projects.
• Stay updated on changes in land use regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Assist clients in obtaining necessary permits and approvals for land use projects.
• Draft and negotiate agreements and contracts related to land use, including easements, development agreements, and covenants.

Requirements:

• A Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the State Bar of Texas and in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing land use law.
• Strong knowledge of land use regulations, zoning laws, and real estate development in Austin, TX.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prior experience representing clients in land use matters is highly desirable.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to the State Bar of Texas.
