Insurance Manager, Corporate Risk ManagementAon is currently seeking an Insurance Manager to facilitate Aon’s Corporate Risk Management programs including Aon’s global professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, property, fidelity bond, fiduciary liability, umbrella/excess liability, employment practices liability, and US workers compensation, automobile liability, and general liability insurance programs. This role is preferred to be based in Chicago with the flexibility to work a hybrid of office and remote in IL. Aon’s Corporate Risk Management Department arranges the insurance coverage that Aon needs to satisfy client, regulatory, and risk requirements.Client Requirements. The insurance coverage arranged by Risk Management satisfies client RFP and contractual requirements. Risk Management reviews and negotiates insurance requirements with clients to ensure consistency with the terms of Aon’s insurance and Aon’s limitation of liability initiative. An Insurance Manager:helps ensure the placement and renewal of insurance coverages with the terms and conditions that help win business and facilitate contracting,implements and enforces department standards for review of insurance terms in RFPs and contracts, andassists when differences arise between what Aon can provide and what clients require.Regulatory Requirements. Aon’s businesses are subject to many regulatory requirements that specify types and amounts of insurance that the businesses are required to carry. Additionally, various country departments of insurance require insurance be delivered through locally admitted insurers. An Insurance Manager, working with the Risk Manager and Aon’s Law and Compliance team, ensures that insurance coverage is in place to satisfy these various regulatory and licensing insurance requirements.Risk Requirements. Aon uses its global insurance programs to protect its financial statements from unwanted variability arising from operational accidents and errors. To accomplish this, an Insurance Manager leads the following:prepares the applications for insurance program renewals and collect supporting exposure data and documentation from various Aon internal teams across the globe.oversees the arrangement and administration of locally admitted professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability and other management liability insurance policies for Aon’s offices in countries that require local insurance solutions.Once an insurance program is in place, an Insurance Manager:manages post-placement renewal activities and ad-hoc tasks throughout the year, including issuance of certificates of insurance, payment of invoices and policy reviewmonitors and maintains a detailed understanding of Aon’s professional liability claim activity, by supporting the Legal department in the handling of professional liability claims and preparing analytic reports on claim trends.supports Finance and Controllership on activities related to budget allocations, loss reserving and expense forecasting.Skills and experience that will lead to successfamiliarity with large global insurance placementsinsurance policy form proficiency, especially in financial line coveragesfoundational understanding of insurance costs and claim reimbursement processesintermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly in Excel and Powerpoint, and ideally PowerBI) experience How we support our colleagues In addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce.
