The candidate must have experience and confidence in taking a case from start to finish. General/Civil should aspire to represent plaintiffs and defendants in civil lawsuits deftly managing all phases of a busy caseload from investigation and research, to pleadings and discovery, and through the pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal processes, all of which require superb interpersonal communication and quintessential writing skills. In addition to the foregoing, Family Law candidates should be able to effectively counsel clients, giving legal advice on divorce, custody, and child support matters. Work diligently to see that our clients receive top-notch legal services and excellent results. Show compassion when dealing with clients and demonstrate an ability to earn their trust, confidence, and respect. A minimum of 1+ years of experience in general/civil litigation or family law is preferred, but gumption and a fire in the belly to succeed is more determinative. Proficiency in numerous programs including MS Office. TABS is valued, but not required. Must exhibit a high-level prioritization of client care and satisfaction and show support for the firm's beliefs. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact fully, effectively and appropriately with a vast array of people under a wide range of circumstances so as to elicit an "impressed" response after each encounter. Ability to organize and triage numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints exceeding client expectations at every turn. Necessary aptitude in order to communicate dynamically and productively by telephone, e-mail, and in-person, with a diverse group of people conveying information with courtesy and tact.
