Contracts Advisor
The candidate will provide contractual support to segments and operating companies, providing succinct and timely commentary while focusing on major risk elements. Liaise with the group risk management and insurance coordinator to ensure alignment between contract provisions and existing global policies. Support companies in review, negotiation (including onsite support at client meetings), implementation and management of all contract matters. Support and negotiate operational disputes and claims. Alternative point of contact relating to compliance regulation (primarily anti-bribery and corruption). Oversee litigation and alternative dispute resolution matters and supervise outside counsel. Assist companies in collecting outstanding debt. Should have 4+ years of experience with a highly regarded team focusing on the commercial, energy, construction or corporate legal practice areas. Candidates with a range of experience across these areas are particularly welcome. Demonstrable track record of delivering in a senior contracts role within the Energy Sector or similar industry. Experience, or good understanding, of operating in an international Group. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as required. Law Degree or equivalent from an accredited law school. Current or pending State Bar membership. Familiarity working with or in foreign jurisdictions is a plus.
