Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory

The candidate will counsel stakeholders on a broad range of regulatory issues impacting our banking and capital markets solutions, including issues involving the FCRA, BSA/AML, card network rules, Regulation E, UDAAP, FDCPA, the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the Investment Advisers Act of 1940. Analyze laws and regulations applicable to financial institutions and their service providers and advise the company on the impact of proposed and new regulations. Provide support to the company’s regulatory affairs and regulatory reporting function. Interact with regulators, and draft regulatory notices, responses, disclosures or other correspondence with regulatory agencies. Educate business partners and work cross-functionally with compliance, risk and business to respond in a manner that achieves compliance while minimizing client impact. Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that new services and operations are implemented in accordance with applicable regulations, standards and procedures. Provide legal support in the development of policies, and customer and consumer communications and disclosures. Contribute to the creation of a favorable regulatory environment, including analyzing and drafting regulatory communications to educate and achieve business objectives.
