This facility requires all applicants to be fully COVID vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated is two weeks after the final vaccination dose. The booster dose is recommended but not required at this time.

Department: Medium Bird - Fresh Processing Plant

Position: Pallet Jack Operator

Work Shift: 2nd Shift (4:45 pm – 1:45 am)

This facility may run 6-7 days a week, Monday-Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays as necessary.

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while using a hand pallet jack while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to perform duties of job to standard within 15 days

Must be able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal.

Possess basic math skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical

Must have or be able to obtain Tyson operator’s license for pallet jack or forklift

Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40 pounds for some positions. Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level.

Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day.

Must wear steel toe boots in this position.

Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard.

Must maintain 9 pts or less to stay in the position once job has been accepted. If TM accrues more than 9 pts, mgmt. reserves the right to demote employee based on attendance alone.
