Real Estate Paralegal
The candidate will be drafting real estate documents, including deeds, easements, assignments, and financing statements. Preparing lease abstracts. Reviewing titles, surveys and plats and preparing title memos and objection letters. Ordering, reviewing and summarizing UCC and litigation searches and zoning reports. Creating and monitoring transaction timelines and checklists. Preparation of closing checklists from purchase and sale agreements or loan agreements. Keeping multiple transactions on schedule for closing. Creating entities and filing entity documents. Establishing homeowners and condominium associations. Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience. Should have 3 years of real estate, real estate lending, title and survey review, contract review, and general transactional experience. Superior technical skills: be able to prepare documents in Microsoft Word including editing and redlines, working with "Styles" and working knowledge of Excel. Illustrates excellent client-relationship skills; strong verbal and written communication abilities, proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills. Ability to complete assigned tasks with attention to detail; work with teams and under pressure, and meet deadlines. Motivated, organized, and self-starter who is ready to assume responsibility for challenging matters and has a desire to grow and develop. Experience working in a large corporate setting, law firm, or title company preferred.
