Incubator and Retail Development Lead, Retail Marketing
Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
From the beginning, Google has focused on providing the best user experiences possible. Whether we’re designing a new Internet browser, inventing new hardware devices, or developing a new retail concept like pop-ups, we take great care to ensure that our efforts will serve and inspire our customers and users. For the Retail Marketing team, our goal is to bring the magic of Google Hardware devices to offline and online retail.
Hardware is one of the most dynamic and fastest growing areas at Google. Our product portfolio covers a wide range of categories from phones, smart home products, virtual reality, laptops, wearables, and etc. To bring our vision and products to life globally, the Retail Marketing team collaborates daily with a wide range of external partners and internal stakeholders, such as Creative, Design, Product, Research, Sales, Operations, and etc.
Google Hardware already showcases its products across many channels, but as the Retail Incubator and Development Lead, you will push the boundaries of what it means to create an exceptional consumer experience. You will craft, pilot, and roll out new consumer experience solutions across all our channels of distribution. You are an energetic entrepreneur and a maker that thrives in taking things from concept all the way through to execution. You love to measure the impact of your work and are always at the cutting edge of what is happening in technology, design and retail.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
