Associate Attorney

The cabdidate will receive closing assignments from CPC business units, and work with paralegals to establish a file and closing expectations. Review loan/debt offerings to determine due diligence required that has not already been performed by origination/underwriting team, such as review of borrower organizational documents. Review title and survey, if applicable. Work with representatives of borrower, subsidy provider and other parties to the transaction, including regular progress meetings toward closing. Prepare all closing documentation. Arrange and conduct closings of transactions (in-person or virtual), and work with paralegals to prepare closing binders. Support any post-closing CPC obligations in connection with transactions. Perform other support tasks for the Legal Department as needed. Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders by responding promptly and accurately to questions and information requests. Support systems development and process improvement efforts to maximize efficiency and enhance role and value of the Legal Department. Perform other duties, as directed or required.
