Learning and Development Manager
The candidate will take full ownership of the design, delivery and evaluation of our associate development program within the US offices and supporting the expansion of these programs globally as required. Develop all of our learning and development programs using inclusive learning practices and ensure they support our firm's DEI ambitions. Act as an internal consultant to the business, working with senior leaders, partners, LPC, HR and other key stakeholders to understand our business needs, identify relevant learning needs and implement suitable learning interventions at a group, team and individual level. Ongoing development of our suite of learning interventions to ensure we can provide solutions to meet business needs that result in minimal time away from the business and maximum impact: Develop and deliver in-house content using a blend of delivery methods including live virtual, face to face and online content (using Articulate 360). Curate external learning content, develop and manage a network of preferred suppliers. Work with subject matter experts (such as attorneys, finance, business development and regulatory and compliance colleagues) to develop learning interventions. Develop and increase engagement and usage of our online learning platform to ensure an excellent user experience. Deliver learning interventions at team off site meetings as required. Support wider talent management activities working collaboratively with HR, Performance Management and the Office of DEI to achieve people priorities. Lead on agreed L&D projects to continue the development of our learning programs within our L&D strategic framework. Have experience of delivering learning interventions within the legal profession that develop both technical and legal skills, as well as business and soft skills. Be a learning expert who is constantly developing their expertise and able translate that into the context of learning in a global law firm. Be experienced in the design, delivery and evaluation of learning in a variety of formats including eLearning (experience of Articulate 360 is preferable), on-demand micro-learning (such as resource guides and videos) and live virtual and face-to-face workshops. Be an advocate of diversity, equity and inclusion matters and have an understanding of inclusive learning practices to ensure that learning interventions enable the advancement of all of our people. Be highly credible and have strong stakeholder management skills to engage with senior leaders, partners and key stakeholders on all learning and development matters. Have exceptional communication skills, so you can demonstrate your credibility to key stakeholders in both written and verbal communication. Have experience of working in a large global and matrixed organization. Be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities at the same time. Be a self-starter who is able to work autonomously and take full ownership for your work, and know when you need to consult with, or get support from, your colleagues. Be able to work collaboratively with others and have a natural flair for being able to bring people together to deliver on objectives. Bring a positive and can-do attitude and be constantly seeking develop your own knowledge and capabilities. Excellent attention to detail.
