Duties: Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of business processes supported by software systems/products. Planning, developing, executing, and improving processes within the QA department; including development of templates for QA artifacts. Implementing a continuous improvement program to analyze data in order to find areas for growth and QA optimization across IT. Recruiting and retaining top talent; including leveraging offshore resources as needed. Training, motivating, coaching, and correcting employees to ensure that standards are met. Collaborating with peers to determine resource needs on projects and sustaining teams. Conducting and participating as needed in reviews for requirement, application design testing strategy, and change control activities. Participating in vendor selection and management to ensure alignment to quality standards. Creating test plans and test strategies with traceability to requirements and application design as needed. Approve defect fixes to be implemented into the test domain during the testing phase of the change management process. Providing reports on testing progress, outcomes, issues and risks to feed into change and problem management processes.
