Help Desk Technician
The candidate will perform a variety of network problem analyses. Perform physical repairs for on-premise computers and peripherals. Install/repair Operating systems (Win 7, Server 2008 and 2012) for onsite machines. Relocate or set up full workstations for users at any of our San Diego offices. Perform hardware installations for on-premise computers. Monitor tasks for the Integrated Default Solutions (IDS) help desk. Triage network problems to appropriate technical staff. Log, coordinate, and track requests for assistance related to IDS-supported systems. Web-based application support. Provide onsite support for vising clients. Should have extensive experience with Windows Desktops and Servers, MS Office, and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Time Matters, Mas500 and RBJ is a plus. Should have experience with Microsoft Terminal Services & Cisco-based VPN including support and troubleshooting; ability to manage and maintain Active Directory. Ability to commute between San Diego offices as needed. Research and report on problems and solutions; creative thinking and advanced problem solving; excellent oral and written communication skills, with a focus on technical or instruction-oriented writing and clearly communicating complicated concepts over the phone, in person, and in writing; work both independently and as a team member; able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. for short distances. VOIP and unified communication support (ShoreTel) experience is a plus.
