SUMMARY
Global Technical Service. LLC, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a
Scrum Master in support of the Air Force Logistics Portfolio. This Scrum Master will support Agile Vision - Logistics (AVLog) projects to deliver value across an enterprise portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner and able to work independently while collaborating with other team members and external components in a complex environment. This role requires an experienced Scrum Master to work under the guidance of an Agile Coach.
This candidate will provide support across multiple Agile teams in a Government environment.
The target candidate will have experience implementing and transitioning a Government project to Agile using a variety of Agile frameworks. The target candidate will have experience with management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, HipChat / Stride, BVIR Dashboards, etc.…in support of multiple product teams within the portfolio.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide and coach the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and value
Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and lead by example. Responsible to hold team accountable to the tenants of agile and working agreements including the use of appropriate tools, standards and best practices
Promote and demonstrate core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability and visibility
Empower teams to self-organize around achievement of their commitments
Identify and remove any impediments and distractions that interfere with the team’s ability to deliver
Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice where appropriate
Assist the team in tracking and communicating progress and metrics
Facilitate and enable an environment of collaboration and creativity
Assess the Agile maturity of the team and organization. Coach the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization
Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving
Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work
Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information for better visibility
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Software Development Life Cycle Methodology and practices
Software Testing Life Cycle Methodology and practices
Understanding of common Agile frameworks and development practices including DevOps
Understand incremental delivery and the value of metrics
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within the organization and across multiple organizational layers
Excellent analysis and collaboration skills
Must be effective and efficient in identifying and proposing creative, innovative solutions to resolve complex, time-critical challenges
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
Licensure / Certification
Professional Scrum Master certification is required (PSM I, PSM II, CSM, SSM, SASM)

Job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.

No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
