Aon is looking for a Claims Professional I As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk in Ft. Wayne, IN. This position handles non-litigated property and casualty claims as assigned. Interacts with internal and external parties as well as our insuring partners to successfully resolve claims made by or against our policyholders. Essential Job FunctionsInvestigates, verifies and analyzes coverage issues; resolve in accordance with insurer protocolInvestigate, analyze and evaluate damages and liability factors, including risk transfer opportunities and third party involvementDemonstrate an awareness of jurisdictional nuances impacting claim evaluation and keeps abreast of legislation and court decisions in multiple jurisdictions.Establish and monitor loss and expense reserves within authority levelComplete reports timely and accurately in compliance with company guidelinesInitiate management review of cases with potential to exceed authority levelDevelop and implement an appropriate resolution planConduct direct negotiations or, if warranted, mediated settlement discussionsReview and approve payments within authority levelExhibit exceptional organizational skills and computer literacyExhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills and upholds the organizations values and is a positive spokesperson for the CompanyRequirements:Bachelors Degree Preferred 2 years experience in Property and Casualty Insurance Claims or Degree in Insurance or Risk Management in lieu of experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsIndiana adjuster license is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.This role has a possibility of being remote.We offer you A competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.
