Daily tasks will include: Lead zSeries maintenance activities including patching, upgrading, and configuring of zOS, IBM and Third-party software.

Troubleshoot issues, respond to outages, and analyze performance issues.

Support attached storage infrastructure.

Systems Administrator

Maintains the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems; especially multi-user computers, such as servers. Ensures that the uptime, performance, resources and security of the computers he or she manages meet the needs of the users.

Senior 60 - 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education. 12 months of experience working directly with IBM zSeries hardware.

60 months of experience working directly with IBM zSeries operating systems.

12 months of experience working directly with IBM zSeries attached storage, including VTS7000, TS4500, DS8000, or similar series administration.

36 months of experience with SMP/E software installation, applying patches/upgrades, and maintenance.

12 months of experience with zOS JCL authoring, job submissions, and output review.
