Job Overview:
A prominent law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Real Estate Group, focusing on commercial leases. This role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in drafting and negotiating various lease agreements, and the ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys.

Duties:

• Serve as the primary attorney in the preparation and negotiation of commercial leases and related documents, including term sheets, letters of intent, work letters, and SNDAs.
• Supervise and mentor less experienced leasing attorneys.
• Engage directly with clients, opposing counsel, brokers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients and colleagues.
• Produce high-quality deliverables and respond promptly to communications.
• Maintain compliance with all firm policies and practices.
• Participate in virtual meetings and conference calls.
• Complete additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in drafting and negotiating commercial leases and associated agreements.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice in California.

Skills:

• Comprehensive understanding of the commercial leasing landscape and market standards.
• Experience with diverse property types, including office, retail, industrial, and life sciences.
• Strong representation experience for landlords.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to grasp clients' business objectives and deliver work efficiently.
• Proficient negotiating skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks.
• Strong analytical and writing abilities with keen attention to detail.
